Uniform Scholarship Criteria
1. Grades 3-5
Students in grades 3-5 are required to write a 150-word typed essay about their favorite school subject and why they enjoy it. They should also explain why they enjoy school and share a story about something fun or memorable that happened at school.
2. Grades 6-8
Students in grades 6-8 must submit a 300-word typed essay discussing their favorite school subject and why they are passionate about it. They should also explain what they enjoy about school and how their experiences have shaped who they are. Additionally, they should describe what they aspire to be after high school and college.
3. Grades 9-12
Applicants are tasked with writing a 500-word typed essay reflecting on their favorite school subject and why it interests them. They should also discuss what they enjoy about school and how their experiences have influenced their goals and aspirations. Additionally, they need to analyze the benefits of wearing school uniforms, discuss how uniforms contribute to a positive learning environment, foster academic focus, and promote equality among students. Lastly, they should explain their future career aspirations and how they plan to achieve them after high school and college.
4. Financial Need
Within their essays, applicants should provide a brief statement explaining their financial circumstances and how the scholarship would benefit them.
Scholarship Expectation
Each selected student will receive a uniform scholarship valued at $200.00 to assist with the purchase of school uniforms. There will be three uniform scholarships provided, one per grade level grouping (grades 3-5, grades 6-8, and grades 9-12).
